Things that make you go Hmmm
In nearly every movie I’ve seen involving a stepdad and a bio dad, the stepdad is always portrayed as a man of affluence and means while the bio dad is typically a ne’er-do-well. What’s up with that? Movies that come to mind are Liar Liar, War of the Worlds (2005), 2012, Taken, and Real Steel. What message does this say about a woman’s choice in remarriage?
Why are stepdads, like Carl in the video, portrayed as these stiff shirts, nerdy acting characters? Remember “the Claw” from Liar Liar?
Do children really equate what you do for them and how you much spend on them as love?
Do children have to love one parent more than the other? Can children have enough love for both parents?
If there is “competition” between the dad and stepdad – doesn’t the biological dad in the majority of instances have the edge?
Also, if there is “competition” doesn’t that make gaining the love and attention of the boy secondary to “winning” – one dad beating the other?
