Since the pandemic, there has been an increase in mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety worldwide. Mental health is a subject that many shy away from. Fortunately, today, there’s more awareness, resources, and help for people with a mental illness. World mental day is celebrated on the 10th of October to raise awareness about Metal health.
Why World Mental Health Day is important
Mental health is a fundamental part of every human. And without it, physical health cannot thrive. In the past, people with related mental illness did not talk about it for fear and shame of being stigmatized. Although there’s still a long way to go in recognizing the importance of mental health, there has been significant progress in creating awareness.
As you celebrate World Mental Health Day, take a moment to relax and do the things you love. Remember, asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness. Keep in touch with loved ones and have a good laugh. Enjoy some mental health jokes.
