Single Mom Poetry ~ A Mother’s Love

“A Mother’s Love” a poem to a single mom from her boyfriend.

A Mother’s Love

A mother’s love is the best kind
I love her and she’s all mine
Quite the circus act she can be
juggling a thousand responsibilities.

As a mother she has many roles.
She kisses their tears and cleans their nose.
She gets peed and pooped upon
Patience is shown from dusk till dawn.

All of her children she treats the same
equality and fairness is the game
A nurse to fix their bruise
and a narrator to help them snooze.

With the struggles of work and life on her mind
For her own offspring she always found the time.
A lover, defender, supporter and friend
I love and respect my lady to the very end.
