To My Stepmom
My stepmom is a lady fair
She treats me with love and care
She took both mine and my dad’s hand
Accepting a family with the wedding band
She was an answer to a daily prayer
But believe in an answer, I would never dare
She came but I thought she wouldn’t understand
So to lock up my heart was what I planned
With her persistence my resolve began to wear
She made it comfortable for my heart to share
Willingly she loved me without demand
And that makes her the fairest in the land.
