Many will agree laughter is the best medicine for the soul. Life can get challenging, and finding ways to destress becomes essential.

International Joke Day is celebrated every year on July 1st to encourage everyone to push their worries aside and have a good laugh. American author Wayne Reinagel first celebrated this event. He invented this day to promote his book on office jokes and memos.

 

Studies show laughter not only alleviates stress but also improves mental and physical wellbeing. Jokes have several social benefits as well and can lighten the atmosphere in a social gathering. Enjoy these jokes as you celebrate International Joke Day.

1. Nobody will upvote a cake joke on cake day.
Feeling deserted.

His punch lines are deadly.

18. I tried to come up with a good vaccine joke, but what’s the point.
Half of Americans won’t get it anyways.

19. Do you know what the guy who invented the first knock-knock joke got?
The ‘no-bell prize.’

20. I had a joke about bad snipers
But I am afraid it won’t hit the intended audience.

I don’t mind making jokes, but I don’t want to look like one – Marilyn Monroe.
