A very clever and funny commercial based on a underlying truth – competition between fathers/stepfathers and children for the affections and attentions of mom. Yes, competition does exist although hopefully it’s not as overt as depicted in the video.
I experienced it while the Pretty Lady and I were dating and throughout our marriage. The answer to this perceived competition is to recognize there is a special relationship between a mother and her children. This relationship is different from the relationship you have/should have with your wife.
When you experience it don’t get your feelings hurt and remember you’re the adult – besides it really might be time to invest in a new razor. 🙂
