How To Play The Final Fantasy Trading Card Game

This card game is the brainchild of Square Enix and Hobby Japan. This game was released in Japan. Later, they have introduced the second series of the game in 2016, known as the Opus series. 

Similar to other card games, this one also has a deck of 50 cards. You cannot use the same card more than three times, and you need to spend your crystal points to earn dulling by playing this game.

In 2016, the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game had sold more than 3.5 booster packs in Japan, and they sold more than 5.5 million booster packs worldwide in 2017. 

To begin the game, you have to shuffle the deck and choose five cards. You can place these cards at the bottom of your deck, and then you can mix your cards to add a new one.

There will be no toss or selection process available, and the first player is selected randomly. You should draw a card to start the game, and then you can draw up to two cards in every turn. 

How You  Should Play The Final Fantasy Trading Card Game? 

Before you go ahead and play the final fantasy trading card game, you must know the different types of cards present. 

Here are the Cards you will find In the Deck: 

#1. Forwards: The players combat using these cards

#2. Backups: These cards support the Forwards

#3. Monsters: These also help the Forwards, and this card is not impacted by summoning sickness. 

The Monster, Forwards, and Backups are the Character Cards. You can find a frame on each card, and you can check their name from the top of these cards. You may find some characters, which do not have any crystal points, and you can check the multi-unit icon section available in the top right corner to check your crystal points.

Apart from that, you can find the ID of these cards in their bottom section. While playing the game, you can store up to three cards with the same ID in your deck. You can find the crystal point on each card and use your CP to play the game. 

You can find some elements at the top of these cards like fire, ice, wind, earth, lightning, water, light, and dark. At the forward attack stage, you can attack your opponent. And you can defend yourself from the attacks coming from your opponent. 

To win this game, you have to collect crystal points, and you can achieve such crystal points by turning a card sideways. If you discard a card from your deck, then you will get two crystal points. To play this game, you may pay at least one crystal point. 

For example, you need to spend at least five crystal points to get a dire card, and you can use one fire crystal point along with other CPs to get this card. There’re some dark and light element cards available, which does not have such restriction.

You can use any crystal points to get such cards. There’re two types of cards in this final fantasy trading card game, active cards and dull cards.

Active cards vertical cards, and you can toss them vertically to earn CP. The dull cards are horizontal cards that can be flipped horizontally. 

Your primary role is to damage at least seven cards of your opponent player. You can directly attack your opponent during the Owner’s Attack Phase.

During this phase, players can attack each other to increase their power value. If you damage your opponent’s power, you can collect more CPs in your deck.

To recover your damages, you need to put one card for single damage, and you can find such details in your Damage Zone. If you have seven cards in your damage zone, then you will lose the game.
