On September 16th every year, National Stepfamily Day is celebrated to recognize and celebrate all blended families and their efforts towards successful family life. Over 30% of the population above 18 years lives in a blended family in the U.S. National stepfamily day was founded in 1997 by Cristy Borgeld.

Parents, stepsiblings, and extended families work together to create a loving, healthy, and functional environment for everyone.
