American Family Day is celebrated in the U.S on the first Sunday in August annually. Governor Raul Castro signed the declaration of American Family Day on August 7, 1977. Governor Bruce Babbit signed it as an official Arizona holiday the following year. The purpose of this day is to help families across the country celebrate with loved ones.
