World Book Day ~ Friday Humor

On the 23rd of April 1995, World Book Day was created by UNESCO to celebrate authors, book illustrators, and their works. This day aims to encourage young people to discover and enjoy the act of reading.

As World Book Day founder, Baroness Gail Rebuck, recalls “We wanted to do something to reposition reading, and our message is the same today as it was then – that reading is fun, relevant, accessible, exciting, and has the power to transform lives.”

Today, the World Book Day celebration continues to encourage growing kids to read for pleasure. World Book Day, in partnership with schools across different parts of the world, donates books.

Reading is a significant indicator of a child’s future success. The World Book Day aims to see more children read irrespective of their social-economic background. Enjoy these jokes on books.
