Visit Mount Rushmore

This is one of America’s most iconic tourist traps and pulls in millions of visitors every year.  Recently celebrating its 80th anniversary, Mount Rushmore is a sixty-foot-high sculpture of four of America’s most iconic presidents.

There has been a lot of turmoil about the land this statue was carved into and the people who created it. However, the history behind all of that- and the people can be interesting enough for a good conversation during any car ride.

Lincoln Children’s Museum

If you get to make your way to Nebraska, the Lincoln Children’s Museum is the best place to go with kids!  This three-level learning museum is hands-on and offers interactive exhibits, day camps, and educational activities.

The Lincoln Children’s Museum is the perfect way to get rid of stress after a day of looking at Lincoln apartments! With a fun cafeteria, live entertainment, and changing exhibits, you’ll want to come back time and time again.

Check Out Silver Dollar City

If you want a day of fun touristy excitement, it’s time to go to Silver Dollar City! Just off of the mad traffic on Route 76, Silver Dollar City was opened in May of 1960 and has spent the last sixty years offering fun rides and entertainment for kids and families.

From a large tidal pool to fun rides like the Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam Train, you can also enjoy multiple rides and attractions that are great for anyone!

Go to Cedar Point

Cedar Point is known as one of the best family attractions in Midwestern America. This 364-acre amusement park on Lake Erie has everything from rollercoasters to waterslides.

Over seventeen coasters ensure that there’s a ride at the right size for any child, and the attractions range from fun shows to delicious food that will entice anyone. So if you’re ready to cut loose with your family and enjoy some world-famous fun, this is the best place to go!

Visit the Gateway Arch

Another fantastic piece of American iconography is the Gateway Arch!  This 190-meter monument in St. Louis, Missouri, is eye-catching from any angle.

Reaching up towards the sky, this 60-year-old monument is Missouri’s tallest building: and the world’s tallest arch.  The stainless steel that it’s clad in is incredibly eye-catching and creates the look as it stretches upward endlessly.

This arch noted St. Louis’s role in expanding the USA westward in the 1800s, which can be an interesting conversation piece for any family.

Finally, the most essential part of any trip is spending time together. So, make sure to plan and make the most out of your vacation. Here are five unique family bonding activities for everyone.
