(Re)Connect is a DIsney+ sponsored program planned to be a 14 episode series scheduled to air in 2020. The theme of (Re)Connect is restoring a family bond which may have been lost due to, for example, a:
- death of a parent
- addition of a new family member,i.e., blended family
- deployed family member
- single parent family
- any event or circumstance (parent’s job, parent’s parenting style) which has impacted the family’s closeness
According to Kirsten Dodich, the casting director, a selected family will participate in a team/bond building activity, for example, an obstacle course. Where coaches will be available to help.
Ms. Dodich is interested in families with at least two kids ranging from 8 to 18 in age. Families can have younger children, but they will not be able to participate in filming due to child labor laws, etc.
Filming for the family will last one week. Shooting will begin in June and end in August.
Casting will run into July, but obviously, the earlier a family submits their application the better. Families can request more information by emailing – ReconnectFamilyCasting@gmail.
