When was the last time you surprised your partner or gave him or her a treat to show your love?

This is something we should be doing often, but sometimes we cannot afford to express our love with an elegant restaurant meal or with a romantic weekend getaway. I realize this can be a problem. Here are some suggestions that will keep your partner happy but will not burn a hole in your bank account.

Pamper Your Partner

Everyone loves being pampered and this is an easy and inexpensive way to show your partner you care. From breakfast in bed to completing all the household chores, make this a daylong pampering that will help your beloved relax and feel special.

Letting the love of your life do and worry about nothing for a whole day is sometimes the greatest treat of all. This will not cost you anything but will be a great investment in your relationship.

Treat Them to a Special Meal

You do not need to be a culinary expert to cook a meal for your loved one; the effort is what will be appreciated for this meal, not the heavenly taste. Try to go all out and have candles flickering and music softly playing, as the more effort you put into it, the greater your partner will love you for it.

Start with something light such as fresh fruits cut into special shapes. This is a simple but remarkable idea that will show your loved one you have taken time on the meal. For the main course, finger food is always a great option as well as other dishes that can be shared. These will always create a more intimate atmosphere to enjoy.

Make the dessert as special as you can, and make sure it is a favorite for your treasured one. Special does not mean complicated though, as a tub of ice cream shared between two is as intimate as food can get. As long as there is no food poisoning, cooking your partner a meal is always a winner, so forget about the diet and get cooking.

Help Them Relax

Lots of people do not have enough time to spare for relaxation activities, so helping your loved one to do this is a treat in itself. If you promise you will give your partner a massage in the evening, they will look forward to it all day and the buildup can be amazing.

Spend time creating the right atmosphere so the greatest pleasure can be taken from simple pleasures. Greet them at the door and help them undress for the warm bath you have prepared.

Soft lighting and soothing music should be part of the entire package as well as your comforting words. After the bath, you can start the massage and should use warmed aromatic oils to give the greatest effect.

If your partner falls asleep, don’t wake him or her up and instead allow beautiful dreams to take over for utmost relaxation. A massage is a great way to show your love and to bring you and your partner closer together.

Go on; spoil the one you love. Remember, don’t only keep the treats for special occasions, you should think every day with your partner is special.
