Today We Remember
Today we remember
The dad that you were,
The caring, the love you impart.
There’s no one on earth
Of that we are sure,
Who even comes close, in our hearts.
We’re all better people
Because you were ours
Because of your patience and time.
We know you’re in heaven
With angels and flowers
And beautiful music sublime.
We had you as long as
Our God has endowed,
But your love and attention survives.
We will walk in your shadow
And we’ll make you proud
We will love you, the rest of our lives.
